The department of
Pulmonology, PGMI/AMC/LGH is offering both patient
care services including indoor and outdoor services as
well as educational activities for resident
doctors.The 6 days week OPD has a turn over of over
1000 patients/month.
A separate TB-DOT OPD is working in collaboration with
national TB Control Program to provide state of the
art TB care facilities on out door basis. 20 indoor
beds provide round the clock in patients care, under
supervision of qualified consultant Pulmonologists.
The department provides on call consultation services
to other departments as well. In house diagnostic
services including spirometry, Bronchoscopy( washing,
brushing, biopsy, lavage), Pleural biopsy, 6MWT ,
Ultrasound as well as ultrasound guided procedures.
Therapeutic services apart from regular in patient
care including Non- invasive ventilation and chest
intubation.
The department is a also providing training programme
to the residents doctors like DTCD as well as
rotational training of MD & F.C.P.S residents from
different medical departments.
A regular CME programme on Wednesday, daily video
based learning classes and clinical case presentation
on Saturday under the supervision of consultant is
going on side by side.
