The chest and TB unit
provides OPD and admission facilities. It hasw a 10
bedded inpatient facility and the outpatient clinic is
open daily. Average patient turnover is 800 per week.
A separate TB DOTS clinic
is supervised by the department where antituberculous
treatment is provided to every TB patient free of
cost. The DOTS clinic provides preventive, diagnostic
and treatment services for poor patients and is thus
involved in National TB Control Program of Pakistan.
The department imparts post graduate training in DTCD.
There
is an asthma clinic and antismoking clinic for
specialized care with provision of pulmonary function
test facility.
