Introduction:

Department of community medicine is the torchbearer of the promotion of health and prevention of diseases in the world of cure and treatment. We envision students regarding prevention of diseases both communicable and non communicable and the role of environment, occupation ,nutrition and sanitation in prevention of diseases and promotion of health along with planning and management of health services in general and special care of vulnerable stratas like mothers ,children, adolescents and elderly. We enable students towards research techniques and epidemiological tools to explore n bring in affect, the change through interventions above stated fields. We also train and help postgraduate students in their research designing n its intricacies. We aim to see a healthy n disease free community.
