The Department of Orthopedics Surgery at PGMI was established in 1983. There are two units. Department has Reception, Waiting Laounge, Consultant Rooms, MO Rooms, Library, Museum, Computer Room, Sister Officer and Nurses Duty Room. There are 3 Operation rooms & 1 minor operation room. Post graduate training is provided for MS and FCPS. The department is providing Orthopedics services to, in patients, out patients and emergency patients, 07 days a week. We are actively engaged in academic Trauma Orthopedic Surgery, Spine surgery, Arthroscopy, Reconstructive surgery and Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery. Department is conducting daily morning meeting, daily ward rounds, weekly case presentation, fortnightly Journal club and mortality meeting. Department is conducting mock exam and ward test regularly. We also hold seminars and workshops of clinical interests. Postgraduate residents are actively engaged in research activities on different topics to fulfill their training in (M. S/FCPS). Various articles have been published in well reputed national and international journals.
