The Department of Dermatology was established in PGMI/AMC/ LGH Lahore, during the year 2002.

• On average 250-300 Patients are checked daily , 6 days a week .

• Comparison of efficacy of 1% Clindamycin gel with 5% Dapsone gel in mild to moderate acne vulgaris

• Comparison of intralesional Traimcinolone acetonide Versus Platelet rich plasma in lopecia areata.

• To determine the efficacy and safety of ablative CO2 laser in treatment of vitiligo.

• Comparison of efficacy between topical ivermectin 1% and topical permethrin 5% for the treatment of scabies.

• Comparison of efficacy of intralesional 5- fluorouracil alone, intralesional triamcinolone acetonide alone and intralesional triamcinolone acetonide with 5- fluorouracil in keloids.

• Role of PRP in androgenetic alopecia in male patient.

• Efficacy of intralesional vit D3 Vs Cryotherapy in the treatment of warts on hands & feet.

• Levels of alpha 1 antitrypsin in patients of pemphigusvulgaris

• Efficacy of fractional CO2 & topical terbinafine in Onychomycosis

• Comparison of efficacy of clindamycin 1% plus benzoyl peroxide 5% Vs adapalene 0.1% plus benzyl peroxide 2.5% in the treatment of mild to moderate Acne vulgaris.

Achievements:

Establishment of a separate Indoor Ward, Phototherapy unit , IPL treatment setup for Hair Removal, Histopathology /Lectures Class room, CO2 Laser therapy for Skin Growths, Library with sufficient supply of Text books during a period of 5 years.
